Inside Photoshop

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Adobe Photoshop is a digital image-editing program that is widely used in the design professions. It allows you to touch up a scanned image, apply special effects, cut and paste details between images, adjust color and brightness, add text, and create entirely new images. In this tutorial, we will introduce you to Photoshop by explaining the tools you need to do basic image editing.

There are several on-line resources available for help and creative inspiration, the most important of which is the Adobe website, www.adobe.com. From the homepage you'll find links to a gallery of work done by various artists using Photoshop and other Adobe products. They can be quite inspirational (though a little intimidating) as they provide beautiful and creative examples of just what can be done with this powerful program.
