Arch 311 Architectural Design Drawing 2 | Winter 2008

Course Objectives:
To build on the skills introduced and developed in Arch 310
To advance the understanding and use of drawing as a design tool

Course Requirements:
This class is graded, based on the satisfactory and timely completion of all exercises and projects as well as regular attendance and participation. Please contact the instructor if you will miss more than 2 classes.

Sketchbook:
Each week on Tuesday we will do an in class drawing project that will be due the following Tuesday. Each week there will be an off campus sketchbook project. We will post and discuss (time permitting) those drawings on Thursdays. At the end of the quarter you must present a full set of drawings for the ten sites listed below, as well as the project assignments.

A Lamy or other fountain pen is required for use in the sketchbook projects. A fine point is recommended. These are available for purchase at the University Bookstore.

Portfolios shall be left on your desk in studio by Thursday 3/20. I will be grading on Friday, 3/21.
