Jan 5th Introduction to class. Hand out the syllabus, course calendar, file size and type handouts. Assign take home quiz due following Monday the 12th.

Jan 7th How to access the U:/ and Introduction to GIS. Note: the ArcMap you open varies depending on whether you will use it to export a SketchUp model.

Jan 21st Finish SketchUp. Assignment 1 due.

Jan 26th Begin Adobe Photoshop. Review Sketchup and Layout.

Jan 28th Finish Adobe Photoshop. Introduce Assignment 2 (same as studio assignment).

Feb 2nd Lecture on board layout using Storyboards. Good video and information on utility of storyboards here. Also good reference for books on visual display of information.

Feb 4th Learn InDesign for making presentation boards. Introduce Assignment 3.

Feb 9th Introduction to Adobe Illustrator (tools).

Feb 11th Finish Adobe Illustrator (placing files, rendering, layers).
