Over the past few years Abode has been incorporating web design tools into its software to make it easier to create images for the web . One of these tools is the Slice tool, which lets you cut up your webpage in Photoshop and export the images formatted as an HTML table. Another is the "Save for Web" option which gives you many options for optimizing your images for web use. Lastly, Photoshop provides a quick and easy way to create Web Photo Galleries that can be incorporated into your website.

These tools will generate output that you can edit and manipulate in Dreamweaver to create your functioning webpage.

We'll be sticking mostly to Photoshop, but you should also be aware of Adobe Imageready, a sort of stripped-down Photoshop that has additional abilities to create webpage content. Imageready can be especially usefull for creating rollovers and GIF animations.
