landscape context

The study site encompassed the Pioneer Square, I.D./Chinatown and SODO districts of Seattle - an area that is:

i. heavily urbanized and industrial

ii. highly impervious

iii. contributes storm drainage to CSO basins and directly to Puget Sound

 

 

 

I. Landuse:

 

SODO: industrial (greys) mixed with commercial (reds)

Pioneer Square/I.D. Chinatown: dense urban

 

 

II. Physical Conditions: >80% impervious

Mixed Seattle (yellow) and King County (white) CSOs with partially seperated storm sewerage (grey)
